Title: PETSc version 3.8.3 with FEAP 8..5
Post by: Prof. S. Govindjee on February 27, 2018, 03:14:51 AM
I have made a trial attempt at creating a patch that will allow version 8.5 to work with PETSc v3.8.3.  You can find it on the download site.  Instructions are given in a README file.  If there are problems with the patch, please let me know.

I could not found the README file. Is it in the archive?

It is called README_PETSCv383.TXT .  You need to login to the download site with your username/passwd associated to your license and look in the ver85 folder.

the same here...

however, if you manually add /README_PETSCv383.TXT in the address-bar (after ver85), you will get the file (it is not listed in the folder, but the access is granted)

Not sure what is going on, but I have renamed the file to Readme_PETSc_v383.txt and it now seems to appear  :o
