Title: parabolic distributed force on nodes
Post by: ROMU on June 17, 2021, 12:38:52 AM
hello everyone, I am a structural engineering student in Italy. My professor asked me to model a cantilevered deep beam problem (lenght/hight=3, or disk) in FEAPpv with a load applied to the free end with parabolic distribution. For istance I divide my  disk in many rectangles (rectangular mesh) .HOW should I apply the shear forces on the nodes using the E-force command.

Sorry for my english

You should use the CSURf command.  See section 5.7 of manual_51 for FEAPpv.  It shows how to apply a quadratic end tangential traction to the end of a beam.  This command will compuyte the nodal forces to be applied to your mesh.

You do not need to apologize for your English, your question was very clear
