Post by: akdavoudi on January 27, 2015, 09:59:06 AM
Hi,Dear professor
Please let me know, How can I check deformation of the column in Feappv.
Actually I checked the column deformation(pic attached) in Ansys software (Ansys File attached) and now I want to compare it with Feappv
so I wrote this file(Input file ...), but the answers completely different.
Please help me.
thanks a lot.
Very appreciate to any answers :)

you need to understand how to apply boundary pressure to the side of the column.  EFPRce sets equal nodal loads.  You need to have the program compute nodal loads for a uniform pressure.  These are different.  look at manual for csurface type loading.  Also you need to make sure you apply boundary conditions to prevent rigid body motions.

Please study manuals for examples better.  We cannot continue to help you with use of feappv -- it is not supported for continual questions.
