water pressure
« on: March 03, 2016, 06:46:40 AM »
Hello everyone,

Recently, I am using FEAP for modelling the gravity dam in three dimensional.
Then it is subjected to water pressure and I used CSUR command to apply it.
However, zero result existed.
Please explain it and maybe give me an example to apply it.
Many thanks!

The specification of data for CSURF requires careful attention to data requirements.  It is impossible for us to tell what is wrong.  Can you post a (small) problem that shows us how you are describing the mesh and the csurf data.

I enclosed the attached file.
Is there any other option to apply water pressure?
Could I use the PRESsure command?
Thank you for your help.

It seems you have two flat faces.  You must specify the loading on each separately.  If you say it is a single quadratic surface then the faces to not match the mesh.  See attached (hacked file)
