Contact problem
« on: March 19, 2018, 03:09:01 AM »
Dear all,

I'm working on an indentation problem where the contact is between a rigid indenter and a hyperelastic material. But the slave (indenter) penetrates into the master (bulk). I don't know why? I have attached my file.

Thank you in advance.

The nodes on the individual surfrace facets need to be reversed to that they are going counter-clockwise too

surface 1
line 2     ! Surface type : lines of 2 nodes
  facets
     1 -11 111 100
    10   0  12   1

Hi Professor, Thank you so much for your answer!

I reversed the surfrace facets as you said but it's not working  :(

Can you tell me which version of feap you are using.  I attach the mesh I used for testing and it runs in my version.

Your problem was the extra FORM SOLV in the solution step.  TANG,,1 = TANG + FORM + SOLV
