FRVE, SRVE , Serial Feap
« on: June 25, 2021, 02:15:22 PM »
Hello FEAP Users ,

I am trying to benchmark FE2feap with Serial Feap.I have taken a model with a material and done normal serfeap simulation.Next I have taken the same model in fe2feap with RVE containing the same material . I have done two fe2 simulations like this using frve and srve options. The results seem very different and only FRVE simulation results match with macro simulation behavior.

Is there any explanation for what is going on here?

Thanks in advance.

Can you post the files you used for each of the simulations please.

When you use "srve" all materials are supposed to be for small strain.  Thus, in your fe2 input you should not use neoh for the model, change to 'isotr' and it should work -- it does for me.

similarly, for "frve" you should use finite deformation models, hence 'neoh' is ok
