Explicit solution doesn't seem to work for parallel8.4
« on: June 23, 2021, 08:43:27 PM »
Dear Professor,

Recently, I want to use the explicit solution of parallel8.4, but it seems not to work through my little tests, all outputs are zero. So I want to ask for some help from you, whether

the explicit solution is able to work for parallel8.4?  And if the explict can be run successfully, could you please give me an input file to test.(I have attached my inp file.)

Another question, what is the difference between cpu time and system time? I find a strange problem that the serial run takes less time than the parallel run, is it possible?

Looking forward to your answer, thanks in advance.

Parallel FEAP has only been set up for implicit transient computations.
So explicit will not work without some programming.

We are however working on a patch that will permit explicit computations; hopefully,
it will be simple enough to allow for back porting to older versions.
