how to use IGA in feap
« on: June 04, 2016, 02:36:10 PM »
Dear FEAP TEAM and FEAP Users,

I want to use FEAP to make a 2 d simulation ( Isogeometric Analysis of Phase-field Models, e.g. the Cahn-Hilliard Equation )  within a short time.

now I know a little about IGA (I think,  IGA is just a new type of shape functions...), where can I find some examples (Input File) & Introduction  about IGA in FEAP.

Thanks very much for your help,

Yaakov

A set of input files for a square 2-d region with a circular hole is attached.  Note requirement for 3-files.  See manuals for more details.

Dear Prof. Taylor, many many thanks for your very important answer!!

A classmate tell me, that IGA is very difficult for people to study and very difficult to be used in the simulation.

but I think, yes we can!
