Starting a quasi-static problem with non-zero initial solution?
« on: February 15, 2013, 10:13:21 AM »
Dear FEAP developers,

The manual says FEAP can handle the transient problems when initial displacement and velocity values are not zero, just by using INIT solution command and specifying relative nodal values after BATC-END pair. I was wondering if I can do the same thing for a quasi-static problem (for instance, a static large deformation problem with incremental scheme for solving) with non-zero initial displacement?

Best,

Ziyu

Try using: INIT DISP to set the initial displacements.
