Save and restart commands in parFEAP
« on: November 28, 2017, 11:49:39 AM »
Hello everyone,

I am trying to use the SAVE and RESTart commands in parFEAP but I am not having good results once I use the RESTart command. I have solved the problem using serial FEAP and I don't have any problem. It's the first time that I use these commands so maybe there is something that I am not taking into account. Specifically, these are the steps that I am following

1. I create the parallel Iproblem00* from the flat Iproblem file
2. I run the problem using the SAVE command into the solve.problem file

From step 2 I have tried the following

3.1 Create new parallel Iproblem files from a flat file without the initial conditions (since these are read from the restart file)
and
3.2 Run the problem using the RESTart command into the solve.problem file.

But none of this steps have given me the same result as the serial problem. Do any of you have any idea of how I should use these commands in parallel FEAP?

Thank you in advance,

William
