Rotational boundary conditons
« on: December 08, 2023, 11:01:08 AM »
Hi,

I am trying to simulate a tensile test on an axisymmetric part of the cylinder, please find the boundary conditions in the file attached.

With the currently implemented boundary conditions, the cylinder is freely rotation about its pole. Can you please let me know how I can restrict these rotational dofs.

Thank you :)

You seem to be trying to make a 1/4 symmetry model.  I would recommend then placing rollers on the two symmetry faces

Code: [Select]
EBOUndary
  1 0  1 0 0
  2 0  0 1 0

Thank you for your idea. It's working now as expected. But just out of curiosity, is there an option for assigning rotational boundary conditions in Feap?

Can you define with an equation what you mean by "rotational boundary conditions?"
