Insufficient storage
« on: September 09, 2013, 06:58:17 AM »
Hello,
I am working in plate and shell analysis using FEAP. I have a problem with the storage :

*Command   1 * tang                v:   1.00       0.00       0.00
                                                           t=    13.54     0.00
**ERROR** Insufficient storage to allocate TANG1
           Required size =   208690586
Check data or choose other option.
*WARNING* Insufficient Storage for Symmetric Profile:
Array size = 417381172.  Try DIREct,SPARse, DIREct BLOCk or ITERation

Can you help me to fix this problem?
Thank you

As the message says you can try issuing the commands

DIREct,SPARse

followed by

TANGent,,1

This will use a sparse storage scheme.  This will save you a little memory but may not be enough.  In which case, you should
try using ITERative instead of DIREct,SPARse; for example

ITERative,PCG
TANGent,,1

See the manual for other preconditioning options.
