Coupled thermohyperelastic problem
« on: November 08, 2016, 07:11:59 AM »
Dear all,

I am new to FEAP. I have to solve a fully copuled thermohyperelastic problem. Coupling is two way, i.e temperature changes stresses and vice versa. I want to solve it using staggered scheme. Solve Momentum equation first explicitly and then thermal part as steady state. I have gone through manual and found that using PARTions, I can solve in staggered scheme.

I want to if I do the above by writing user material or I will need to write user element?

Thanks in advance :)

regads,
Anshul

You may be able to use the element in the couple3d directory; but it would be better to use your own element so that everything is consistent with the constitutive model you develop.
